    Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam is a joint base formed by Hickam Air Force Base and Naval Base Pearl Harbor due to the Base Closure and Realignment Initiative in 2010. Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam offers support for the Pacific Fleet ships as well as a maintenance depot for naval submarines. The consolidation with Hickam AFB has added air mobility and operational support for the Global War on Terrorism. Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam is located on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu.
